What a wonderful, lovely meal. We didn’t know what to expect from this small cozy restaurant, but we’re overwhelmed by its charm and its staff and owners kindness. A little perplexed by my wife’s vegan requirements, they quickly prepared everything they could think of that would make her happy. Guacamole or an extra salad — they were really thoughtful. The Sardinian antipasto spread, spread across the table — was awaiting us when we arrived — and was replenished several times before dinner. We had the tagliatelle and mushrooms — and the Filet in Red wine reduction. Yum. The desserts though deserve a special mention. My Tangerine Sorbert with Prosecco was like nothing I’d ever had — and the berry meringue (and vanilla ice cream) was ALSO like I’d ever had. Both were reason enough to come here — really cool and I’d have had them for breakfast again today if I could! Finally, both Leone (from Sardinia) and Anna (from Mexico) were ever present and just so warm to us, along with very attentive and waitstaff as well. For those who couldn’t speak English to us — they worked so hard to communicate anyway. The whole meal was priceless and I gave our hotel concierge a hug for the recommendation when we returned. :-)

The food was delicious, good portions. I had the lobster pasta, which was fab, both in taste and presentation. My vegetarian jugs and had mushroom pasta and enjoyed it too. Crème brûlée and raspberry desert was fantastic too. Luckily we have read the previous reviews though, as they have quite deceitful pricing practices. They tried to trick us into paying for started we have not ordered. As in the other reviews there was a spread of staters we have not ordered on the table when we arrived. Luckily we knew to ask them to remove it and avoided the €20 per person surprise fee at the end. We also made sure we did not order anything that we did not see the price of, so no made up costs were added to our bill. Other than that, the food was superb and the service great, so as long as you are careful you can really enjoy the meal here. But we were very happy to have been warned as they did try to trick us too!

Outstanding! Dining at Leone and Amma represents a unique dining experience in a place that is teeming with good restaurants. I have been going for longer than thirty years, from when we were celebrating our birthdays as kids. The three things that make this restaurant stand out are, in ascending order of importance: a. the cozy, lovely interior small enough for you to feel pampered. b. the warm service and the 'indefatigable' hospitality of the two redoubtable owners c. the amazing culinary experience that manages to blend together, in a rather uncanny way, Sardinian food, local Ampezzo fare sourced nearby, and Mexican (!) touches. It is a memorable experience and it is not by chance that the same people celebrating their birthday there as kids keep coming back to celebrate the birthdays of their own kids. Thank you.

Incredible, the owners are the sweetest, nicest couple. The food was great! Highly highly recommended. The waiters speak English and the owners speak Spanish as well. Recommend to order a place in advance.

Great Food, Overbearing Service, Pricey Surprise I recently dined at Leone e Anna and was impressed with the flavors of the dishes. The culinary experience was truly top-notch. However, the overall enjoyment was marred by the overly attentive waitress who repeatedly interrupted our conversations, creating a somewhat stressful atmosphere. Moreover, the pricing came as a shock. When inquiring about a dish's cost, we were informed it was seventeen euros, only to discover it was actually seventy euros on the bill. This unexpected expense left a bitter taste, detracting from an otherwise enjoyable meal.

The absolute best restaurant in the area - everything from the food to the service and the ambience was nothing but perfect. It is a MUST visit when in Cortina. Will definitely come back just so we can spend another night at this restaurant. The staff are so kind, very helpful in recommending food & wine and are excited about sharing their food culture with you.
